Pat creates nonfunctional and sculptural work in stoneware clay. She’s best known for her coiled wall platters with images of birds, fish and fruit, often combined with figures. Pat also makes ceremonial rain basins and plaques to be placed in gardens, as well as large vases with handles of birds and fish. Her ceremonial reliquary boxes are containers for sacred objects. She also makes an inexpensive line of small porcelain pieces for gifts. The images and rhythms of Nature are the unending source of her inspiration.

Pat has recently moved to Bellingham from Aurora, Oregon. She has been working with clay for nearly 40 years. Her new studio is a remodeled garage in her home in the Geneva Disrict. Pat had a one-person show at the Whatcom Museum in 1995. In the past her work has been shown in Bellingham at the Chuckanut Gallery. She was a longtime active member of the Oregon Potters Association and showed her work annually at “Showcase,” at the Oregon Convention Center.
